Program Highlights
Experience the District after dusk, when white marble monuments and silvery pools glow in the floodlights. Visit the memorials of the Mall as well as moving monuments dedicated to the veterans of the Vietnam and Korean Wars.
Nighttime Tour
Evening Activities
Enjoy a welcome reception complete with a costumed performance that explores 18th-century stories. Spend your last night in the nation’s capital experiencing a unique view of the city during a Potomac River sightseeing and dinner cruise.
Smithsonian Museums
Check out Dorothy’s ruby slippers, the Wright Brothers’ plane, or the giant squid as you explore the many museums of this world-class institution, including the Air & Space Museum, the Natural History Museum, the American History Museum, and the American Indian Museum.
Mount Vernon
Explore the gardens and mansion where George and Martha lived from 1761 until his death in 1799. Don’t look for any cherry tree stumps in the garden, though—Washington never actually chopped down the tree as a lad.
